Project Utthan: Education Kits Distributed to 4,000 Students

In a major step to boost education, under Project Utthan, education kits were distributed to 4,000 students across 80 schools. The initiative aims to empower underprivileged children and strengthen the foundation of learning.

An inspirational initiative was taken under Project Utthan, run by Adani Foundation, the CSR unit of Adani Power Limited, Raigarh, towards making rural education strong and accessible. The grand launch of Shala Praveshotsav Abhiyan 2025 was held at the Government Primary and Pre-Secondary School located in village Bade Bhandar of Raigarh district.

On this occasion, education kits were provided to the new students enrolled in the school, which included school bags, notebooks and stationery items. This kit became a symbol of a strong start to the educational life of the children.

The program was graced by the dignified presence of Shashadhara Das, Chief Business Officer, Ajit Rai, Project Head and Dhananjay Singh, General Manager-Bhoomi. Also, Sarpanch Omprakash Gupta of Gram Panchayat Bade Bhandar, Deputy Sarpanch Representative Ghanshyam Yadav, Presidents of School Development Committee, Panchayat members, School Principal S.L. Sidar, representatives of School Management Committee and school staff were also present. Sarpanch Omprakash Gupta motivated the students to study regularly, do timely homework and stay away from mobile/TV. He praised Project Utthan and called it an important achievement for rural education. Shashadhara Das, Ajit Rai and Dhananjay Singh gave the message of confidence to the children and moving towards their dreams. Dhananjay Singh also highlighted the upcoming plans and broad objectives of Project Utthan.

At present, Project Utthan is being run in ten primary and six pre-secondary schools of Bade Bhandar, Supa and Bunga cluster centers of Pusaur block. Apart from this, education kits are also being distributed in schools of 54 villages connected to Adani Power Limited's rail project and water pump house project. More than 4,000 students of a total of 80 schools are benefiting from this campaign.

To strengthen the education infrastructure, 350 sets of school desks-benches have been distributed in ten primary schools. A total of 750 desks-benches are being distributed by Adani Foundation including in railway corridor areas, out of which 350 desks-benches have already been delivered to schools.

Along with its remarkable contribution in the field of education, Adani Foundation is also fulfilling its social responsibility in diverse areas like health, livelihood, skill development, women empowerment, environmental protection and community development. The aim of the Foundation is to empower every section of the society through holistic and sustainable development.
