Trump Media Reportedly Plans $100,000 Monthly Truth Social Subscription for Wall Street

Trump Media is reportedly considering charging Wall Street firms up to $100,000 per month for early access to Donald Trump's Truth Social posts through its new Truth API service.

Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of Truth Social, is reportedly considering charging up to $100,000 per month for premium access to US President Donald Trump's social media posts, according to a Reuters report.

The proposed subscription service is aimed at Wall Street trading firms and investment companies seeking faster access to Trump's posts, which have frequently influenced financial markets.

Premium Data Service for Financial Firms

According to people familiar with the matter, TMTG has discussed offering investment firms early access to posts published on Truth Social through a newly launched service called Truth API.

The premium subscription could cost $100,000 per month, while firms agreeing to a three-year contract may receive a discounted rate of $60,000 per month.

Although the company officially launched the Truth API this week, it has not publicly disclosed pricing. The reported figures have not been confirmed by TMTG.

Truth API Marks New Business Strategy

The launch of Truth API represents Trump Media's first major move into data licensing, creating a potential new revenue stream beyond advertising and subscriptions.

The service is designed to provide licensed users with the fastest possible access to posts from the platform's ten most influential accounts, including those of President Donald Trump and several prominent conservative personalities.

High-frequency trading firms and hedge funds are expected to be among the primary customers, as milliseconds of advance access to market-moving information can generate significant trading advantages.

Trump's Posts Have Moved Markets

Trump's social media posts have repeatedly influenced financial markets during his presidency.

One frequently cited example occurred on April 9, 2025, when major US stock indexes rallied after Trump announced on Truth Social that his administration would pause several planned tariffs for 90 days.

Because such announcements can trigger immediate market reactions, investment firms view rapid access to presidential communications as commercially valuable.

Democrats Raise Ethical Concerns

The proposed premium service has drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers.

US Senator Ron Wyden, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, argued that selling early access to Trump's posts could financially benefit the Trump family while giving wealthy Wall Street firms an unfair market advantage.

Wyden said the service could allow traders to profit from information before it becomes widely available to the public.

The White House referred media inquiries regarding the criticism to Trump Media, which has not publicly commented on the reported subscription pricing.

Influential Accounts Included

According to reports, the Truth API would initially provide access to posts from the platform's most-followed accounts, including:

  • President Donald Trump

  • Donald Trump Jr.

  • Eric Trump

  • Dan Bongino

  • Sean Hannity

These accounts collectively attract millions of followers and frequently publish commentary on politics, government policy and financial issues.

Debate Over Market Fairness

The proposal has reignited debate over equal access to market-sensitive information.

Supporters argue that premium financial data services are already common across global markets, with firms routinely paying for faster access to news and market data.

Critics, however, contend that charging for quicker access to communications from a sitting US president raises unique ethical and regulatory questions because of the potential impact on financial markets.

If implemented, the service could become one of the most expensive political information products offered to institutional investors and further expand Trump Media's business model beyond social networking.
