These days watermelon season is going on and it is considered a very beneficial fruit. Usually we eat its red part and throw the peel in the garbage, but do you know that jam made from watermelon peel is not only tasty but also healthy? Let's know the easy recipe to make tasty jam from watermelon peel.

Ingredients (Watermelon Peel Jam)
Watermelon peel - 2 cups (remove only the green outer part and take the white part)
Sugar - 1 cup
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Method (Watermelon Peel Jam)
Peel the green outer part of the watermelon peels. Now cut the white part inside into small pieces. Put the peel and water in a pan and boil for 10–15 minutes so that they become soft.

Cool the boiled peels a little and grind them in a mixer. You can keep it coarse or make a smooth paste if you want.

Now put this paste in a pan, add sugar to it and start cooking on low flame.

When the mixture starts thickening, add lemon juice and cardamom powder to it. Lemon helps in preserving the jam for a long time.

When the jam thickens and starts separating from the sides of the pan, turn off the gas. It will thicken further when it cools down.

When it cools down, fill it in a clean and dry glass jar and keep it in the fridge. This jam can easily last for 2–3 weeks.
