With the vision of Prime Minister Modi, India has surpassed America and China in terms of economic equality due to the government schemes implemented in the last decade. Income equality in the country is also better than G-7 and G-20 countries. The latest report of the World Bank says that inequality in India has decreased significantly in the last decade, making it the fourth most equal country globally. The schemes, policies and public welfare decisions of the Modi government are behind this global achievement. The report has attributed the reduction in inequality to various government schemes adopted during the last decade. India has secured the fourth position for the first time in the 'Gini Index' which measures equality. The Gini Index determines the level of equality by measuring the income distribution in a country's population. India's good ranking in the Gini Index is not a coincidence, but it is the result of the success achieved in reducing poverty through the continuous welfare schemes of the Modi government.
