Applying Bhasm gives religious and health benefits, know what are those benefits

The use of Bhasm i.e. holy ash (ash) is not limited to worship and religious rituals, but it also has deep scientific and Ayurvedic significance. In the Indian Sanatan tradition, the tradition of applying it on the body has been going on for thousands of years, which not only gives spiritual strength, but also provides many physical benefits.

Bhasm is considered a symbol of Shiva element. Shiva devotees apply it in the form of Tripund (three lines) on the forehead, chest and arms. It is believed that it destroys ego, brings purity and the person remains free from the feeling of death.

Bhasm contains natural alkali and medicinal elements that protect the skin from fungal infections, sweat odor and allergies.
