 69 Naxalites Surrender in Chhattisgarh: Massive Blow to Maoists in Bijapur and Narayanpur, Bounties Worth ₹2.08 Crore

In a major setback to Left-Wing Extremism (LWE), 69 Naxalites surrendered in Chhattisgarh within 24 hours in Bijapur and Narayanpur districts. The surrendered Maoists, including hardcore cadres from PLGA Battalion No. 1 and other units, carried combined bounties worth ₹2.08 crore.

41 Naxalites Surrender in Bijapur: Key PLGA Members Among Surrenderees

On Wednesday, 41 Naxalites surrendered in Bijapur, including 12 women and 29 men, with a total bounty of ₹1.19 crore. The group comprised high-value targets from PLGA (People's Liberation Guerrilla Army) Battalion No. 1 and various companies.

Bijapur SP Dr. Jitendra Kumar Yadav credited the Chhattisgarh government's rehabilitation policy for the surrenders. Each cadre received ₹50,000 in immediate financial assistance, with full rehabilitation processes underway.

28 Maoists Lay Down Arms in Narayanpur: Weapons Surrendered Including Rifles

Earlier on Tuesday, 28 Naxalites surrendered in Narayanpur, predominantly women (19 women among them), in the presence of IG Sundarraj P. Their combined bounty stood at ₹89 lakh.

Chhattisgarh Naxal Surrender Stats 2025: Over 500 Maoists Join Mainstream

- Narayanpur SP Robinson Gudia revealed that 287 Maoist cadres have surrendered in the district alone in 2025.

- Since January 1, 2025:

This wave of Maoist surrenders in Bastar underscores the effectiveness of security forces' operations like Operation Black Forest and government schemes, paving the way for a Naxal-free Chhattisgarh.
