Wholesale Corridor Project of Previous Government Cancelled, New Plan to Develop Commercial Hub

The wholesale corridor project initiated by the previous government has been scrapped. In its place, a modern commercial hub will be developed, aiming to boost business activity and generate employment opportunities.
The proposed 'Wholesale Corridor' in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar has been put on hold for the time being. The wholesale corridor project prepared during the tenure of the previous Congress government has been cancelled by the government of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. Now the construction of a commercial hub is being considered afresh. Earlier, the work of city level development has been started in Nava Raipur. Along with this, land is being allotted to promote settlement, investment and commercial activities in different sectors of Nava Raipur, so that the Nava Raipur area can have balanced and holistic development.
The Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Authority is carrying out the work of construction of roads, drains, electricity, drinking water and other infrastructure in Nava Raipur. The tender process for the construction of various infrastructure at a cost of about Rs 100 crore has been completed. Out of these, Rs 30 crore will be spent on road construction. At the same time, the remaining amount will be spent on other basic facilities including drains, electricity, drinking water.
