Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Offers 51,000 Tulsi Leaves at Jagannath Temple in Kunkuri

In a significant spiritual event, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited the historic Jagannath Temple in Kunkuri on Tuesday morning. Accompanied by his wife, Kaushalya Sai, the CM performed a special prayer ceremony, offering 51,000 Tulsi (Basil) leaves to Lord Jagannath.
The ritual took place during the ongoing 'Tulsi Archana' program, organized by the Shri Jagannath Seva Samiti, Kunkuri, which will continue until November 5. CM Sai and his wife took part in the elaborate worship, seeking divine blessings for the peace, prosperity, and overall welfare of the state's residents.
Arriving at the temple at 8:30 AM, the couple paid their obeisance to the deities—Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram, and Goddess Subhadra. The Chief Minister conducted the 'Vidhi-Vidhan' puja amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, specifically praying for the state's progress, social harmony, and public welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that such religious and cultural events strengthen the bonds of unity and devotion within society. He also extended his best wishes to the organizing committee for the successful execution of the pious event.
The ceremony witnessed a massive gathering of devotees, filling the temple premises. The atmosphere was charged with devotion, resonating with chants of "Jai Jagannath."
The event was also attended by District Panchayat Vice President Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, other public representatives, local citizens, priests, and administrative officials. This visit underscores the deep-rooted cultural and spiritual ethos of the state.
