Masked Robbers Posing as AC Technicians Tie Up Woman, Escape with Cash and Jewellery

A shocking daylight robbery in Dabra town of Gwalior district has created panic in the area after two masked men allegedly entered a house posing as AC repair technicians and escaped with cash and jewellery worth several lakhs.

The incident took place in Sachdeva Colony where the woman was alone at home when the accused arrived. Police have started investigating the case and are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the suspects.

According to information available so far, the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon when Pinki Srivastava was alone inside the house while other family members were away. Around 3 pm, two men arrived on a motorcycle and asked her to open the gate. They reportedly claimed that they had come to repair the air conditioner. When the woman refused to let them enter, the situation suddenly changed. Preliminary information suggests the men forcibly entered the house and pointed a pistol at the woman.

Investigators say the robbers allegedly assaulted the woman and kept her under threat while searching the house. After moving through different rooms, they reportedly broke open cupboards and searched for valuables. Police sources say the accused managed to take away nearly ₹4 lakh in cash along with gold and silver jewellery kept inside the house. The entire robbery is believed to have happened within a short time before the suspects escaped from the location.

Family members later reached the house after being informed about the incident. According to relatives, the money and jewellery were kept at home for preparations related to daughter Tanushka’s upcoming wedding. The family claims years of savings and wedding jewellery were taken away during the robbery, leaving them shocked.

Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information and started collecting evidence. CCTV cameras installed near the colony and nearby roads are being checked to trace the route used by the accused. Officers say no major breakthrough has been made so far, but multiple teams are working on the case.

Officials involved in the investigation believe several angles are being examined, including whether the robbers had prior information about the family or the valuables kept inside the house. However, police have not officially confirmed anything at this stage and say the investigation remains ongoing.

The incident has created fear among residents of Sachdeva Colony and surrounding areas. Local people say criminals are increasingly using new methods to gain access to houses, making residents more cautious. For now, police continue to search for the accused while relying on technical evidence and CCTV footage to move the investigation forward.
