Madhya Pradesh Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking an inquiry into the deaths of tribal children in Balaghat district, raising concerns over the situation in the tribal region.
In his letter, Singhar reportedly sought immediate intervention and demanded a probe into the circumstances surrounding the deaths. He alleged that gaps in healthcare facilities, nutrition and basic services were contributing to difficulties faced by tribal communities.
The Opposition leader highlighted concerns related to the condition of tribal children and sought accountability from the authorities. He urged the Centre to look into the matter and ensure necessary steps for affected families.
The issue has brought focus back on healthcare challenges in remote tribal areas, where access to medical facilities, nutrition support and timely treatment remains a key concern.
Government authorities have not yet issued a detailed response to the allegations. Further details regarding the cause of deaths and official findings are awaited.
