UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026: Applications Open for 508 Worker Posts in Ghaziabad, 12th Pass Women Can Apply
Digital desk
The Uttar Pradesh government has invited online applications for 508 Anganwadi Worker posts in Ghaziabad district, offering an employment opportunity for eligible women candidates. The recruitment drive covers five Child Development Project (CDPO) blocks—Bhojpur, Ghaziabad City, Loni, Muradnagar and Rajapur—and applications will remain open until August 7, 2026.
The recruitment is being conducted under the Women and Child Development Department as part of the state's ongoing district-wise Anganwadi hiring process. Officials said only online applications submitted through the designated recruitment portal will be accepted.
According to the eligibility criteria, applicants must be female candidates who have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) from a recognised board. Candidates should also be residents of the concerned locality or area where the Anganwadi centre is located, as per departmental norms applicable to district-level recruitment.
The prescribed age limit is 18 to 35 years, while candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation in accordance with Uttar Pradesh government rules.
Unlike many government recruitment examinations, the Anganwadi Worker selection process does not involve a written test. Candidates will be shortlisted primarily on the basis of merit prepared from their academic qualifications, followed by document verification wherever applicable.
Applicants are required to upload essential documents, including educational certificates, proof of residence, Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs and category certificates, if applicable. Officials have advised candidates to carefully verify all information before submitting the online application, as incorrect entries may lead to rejection during scrutiny.
The Ghaziabad notification is part of the broader district-wise Anganwadi recruitment programme being rolled out across Uttar Pradesh. Over the past few weeks, the state has issued recruitment notifications for multiple districts, with each district following its own vacancy count and application schedule. Authorities have repeatedly advised candidates to check the deadline applicable to their respective district before applying.
Anganwadi Workers play a key role in implementing the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme. Their responsibilities include providing nutritional support to children and pregnant women, assisting in early childhood education, maintaining beneficiary records and supporting various health and welfare programmes at the grassroots level.
The latest recruitment is expected to strengthen the network of Anganwadi centres in Ghaziabad while creating local employment opportunities for women. With the application deadline now announced, eligible candidates are advised to complete the online process well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Further instructions regarding merit lists, document verification and appointment schedules will be released by the department after the application process concludes.
