Board Aims to Equip Students with Practical Skills Alongside Academic Learning

CBSE to Integrate Skill Development into School Curriculum

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new initiative to include skill-based education in its curriculum. This move is aimed at preparing students for real-world challenges by combining academic knowledge with practical, job-ready skills.

Vocational subjects will also be taught to CBSE students from the new session. This will enable students to become skilled along with studies. For this, labs will be built in schools, where students will be taught technology as well as other skills. Under the New Education Policy, the board has issued guidelines to all schools. Actually, children learn other skills along with studies till class 8th, but as soon as they come to class 9th, their tension increases along with the syllabus and sometimes it also affects their marks. CBSE has brought new courses for class 9th and 10th students to reduce this stress of children and make studies more creative. So that their mental development along with physical development can also take place.

Kaushal Bodh is a new initiative for vocational education under CBSE's NEP, which has been designed for students from class 6 to 8. In this program, along with academic knowledge, children will be able to recognize the importance of practical skills. Its purpose is to teach children important things and skills related to work along with studies, so that children can start understanding the world of work at an early age and learn important skills useful in life. Through this initiative, children will be made aware and prepared for different types of work. With this, they will be able to do any work wisely in the future and will be prepared for real life along with studies.
