Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced to strengthen water storage. This decision has come after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty. Pakistan's agriculture is dependent on the Indus, Jhelum and Chenab rivers and a decrease in the water level can lead to a food crisis. Pak PM Shahbaz Sharif spoke on this issue during his visit to the National Emergency Operations Center on Tuesday. According to the government news agency Associated Press of Pakistan, he said that the enemy wants to take action against the water treaty.
