The Delhi Government is planning to create a database for beneficial schemes. Under this process, information will be collected on 37 different points during the survey, which will include details related to name, address, income, caste and religion. With an aim to ensure transparency, the creation of the database will start in the first phase with the beneficiaries of Food and Supplies, Women and Child Development, Labor, Revenue and Social Welfare Department. After this, in the next phase, a database will be prepared with a unique ID for all Delhiites along with other departments.
The government says that through this database, there will be ease in policy making in future. Through this, not only will transparency in benefit distribution increase, but fraud can also be controlled. Citizens will get the facility to see all the information and status of the schemes at one place.

According to officials, by getting a unique ID, the residents of Delhi will get information about all the beneficial schemes of the government at one place. For this, a single window system will be developed, through which citizens will be able to view and update their details. The government is presenting it as a golden record, through which all departments will be able to check the applications. It will also become easier to identify and track the person in various databases.
