Rahul Gandhi says ‘Modi can even dance for votes

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during a rally in Sakra, Muzaffarpur, on Wednesday. Sharing the stage with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Gandhi delivered a fiery 25-minute address, questioning the Centre’s policies and Bihar’s governance under the NDA

Beginning his speech with the question, “What’s your mood?”, Rahul Gandhi praised the hardworking youth of Bihar, saying they had built Delhi, Bengaluru, and even Dubai, yet were denied similar opportunities in their own state.

“If you can build other states, why can’t Bihar develop too?” he asked.

🔹 “Modi will even dance for votes”

Taking a direct swipe at PM Modi, Gandhi said,

“Narendra Modi has nothing to do with Chhath Puja — he only wants your votes. You can make him do any drama for votes; tell him to dance on stage, and he’ll do it.”

He accused Modi of being a “tool of Ambani and Adani,” adding that demonetisation and land deals were all designed for their benefit.

“Land worth ₹1 in Bhagalpur went to Adani. Even in Dharavi, the land was handed to them. This government works for billionaires, not for farmers,” Gandhi alleged.

🔹 “Operation Sindoor was stopped because of Trump”

Rahul Gandhi also made a sharp allegation, claiming that ‘Operation Sindoor’, a major counter-terror operation, was halted under US President Donald Trump’s influence, and challenged PM Modi to deny it publicly.

🔹 Attacks on Nitish Kumar

Gandhi questioned Nitish Kumar’s independence and health, saying the CM was being “remote-controlled by the BJP” from Delhi.

“Nitish Kumar doesn’t take decisions himself. The BJP is running Bihar through him,” he said.

🔹 Bihar’s unemployment & migration

Criticising the government over unemployment, Gandhi said,

“Look at your phone — it says ‘Made in China’. It should say ‘Made in Bihar’. Mobiles, clothes, and everything else should be made here. Why should the youth of Bihar go elsewhere for work? People from other states should come here instead.”

He also slammed the frequent paper leaks in Bihar, calling it an example of administrative failure.

“The youth of Bihar work hard, but exams always get leaked. Healthcare and education are in shambles,” he said.

🔹 Tejashwi Yadav: “Time to change the 20-year-old government”

Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav told the crowd it was time to uproot the NDA’s two-decade rule.

“Farmers know if you sow the same seed for 20 years, the crop fails. It’s time to plant new seeds,” he said.

Tejashwi promised jobs, economic revival, and relief from inflation, saying,

“Give me one chance — I will transform Bihar.”

He also accused the BJP of manipulating votes during the last elections and vowed to prevent it this time.

🔹 Assembly elections in Darbhanga & Muzaffarpur

In Muzaffarpur’s 11 seats, RJD is contesting in 7, while Congress and VIP have 2 each.
In Darbhanga, RJD is fielding candidates in 4 of the 10 seats, with Congress and VIP sharing the rest.

Voting in both districts will take place on November 6, in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections.

“The people of Bihar understand politics instantly,” Gandhi concluded. “Modi is attacking the Constitution, but we will defend it. Bihar once led India — it can do it again.
