Pitru Paksha Donations – Offerings That Please the Ancestors

During Pitru Paksha, donating essentials like food, clothes, sesame seeds, and utensils is considered highly auspicious. These acts of charity honor departed souls and invite their blessings for peace, prosperity, and family well-being.

According to the Vedic calendar, Bhadrapada Purnima is on 07 September. The next day i.e. on the Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month, the first tarpan, Shradh karma and Pinddaan will be performed to the ancestors.

It is described in Garuda Purana that from Pratipada date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month to Sarvapitri Amavasya date, the ancestors live on earth. During this, tarpan and pinddaan are performed daily to the ancestors. At the same time, the last tarpan is done on the day of Sarvapitri Amavasya.

On this day, the ancestors return to their world again. By performing tarpan to the ancestors during Pitru Paksha, a person gets relief from all kinds of physical troubles. Also, the blessings of the ancestors shower on the person.

If you also want to get the blessings of the ancestors, then do tarpan regularly during Pitru Paksha. Also, provide food and water to the ancestors. At the same time, donate these things during Pitru Paksha.

Donate these things
If you want to get the blessings of ancestors, then during Pitru Paksha, after bathing and meditation, offer tarpan to ancestors with Ganga water mixed with black sesame seeds. After this, donate black sesame seeds in the Shiva temple. By doing this remedy, the blessings of ancestors shower on the seeker. At the same time, light a lamp of sesame oil for the ancestors in the evening.

If you want to please ancestors, then donate rice, pulses, potatoes, oil, salt and green vegetables for ancestors among the needy. By doing this remedy, the blessings of ancestors definitely shower on the person.

For peace to the soul of ancestors, during Pitru Paksha, offer tarpan to ancestors in the presence of a qualified Brahmin. After this, feed them curd, poha, jaggery and sweets etc. After feeding the Brahmins, donate them according to your financial condition.

To please ancestors, donate betel leaves in Shiva and Vishnu temples during Pitru Paksha. By adopting this solution, the person receives blessings from his ancestors.
