Panic spread across a village in Surguja district on Thursday morning after the bodies of a युवक and a young woman were found hanging from a tree outside the village. The incident was reported from Sargawan village under Udaipur police station limits, where locals first spotted the bodies hanging from a tree branch early in the morning. Within a short time, news of the incident spread throughout the village, drawing large crowds to the spot. Initial reports suggest it could be a case of an alleged suicide by a couple, although police are investigating from all possible angles.

According to information received, some villagers had stepped out for their daily routine work in the morning when they noticed something unusual near a tree located a short distance away from the village. On approaching, they found two bodies hanging from the same tree branch. Soon, people from nearby areas gathered at the spot. Family members were informed, and later the police were alerted about the incident. Udaipur police reached the location shortly after receiving the information and cordoned off the area before beginning the investigation.

Police officials said that a preliminary examination of the scene was conducted, but no suicide note was recovered from the spot.
