Ujjain’s Manzoor Dies in Kuwait Airport Attack While Returning for Niece’s Wedding

A family waiting to celebrate a wedding has instead been left mourning after a tragic incident at Kuwait Airport claimed the life of a man who was on his way home. Manzoor Ahmad, a resident of Raj Royal Colony in Ujjain, died in the Iranian attack at Kuwait Airport while travelling back to India to attend his niece’s wedding.
According to preliminary information, Manzoor Ahmad had been living in Kuwait for nearly 30 years, where he worked as a tailor and supported his family through years of hard work abroad. Family members said he was excited about returning home and had been speaking regularly about the wedding preparations before starting his journey.
Relatives said the news of his death came as a massive shock to the family. As soon as information reached his home in Ujjain, grief spread through the neighborhood. Local residents and relatives have been visiting the family residence as the atmosphere in the area remains heavy with sorrow.
Officials said the Indian Embassy in Kuwait has started the process of sending Manzoor Ahmad’s mortal remains to India. The body is expected to be transported by air to Ahmedabad in Gujarat with assistance from embassy officials.
However, the family says another crisis now stands before them. Relatives claim they are financially unable to arrange transportation from Ahmedabad to Ujjain and have appealed to the Madhya Pradesh government and district administration for support.
The grieving family has requested that authorities provide an ambulance service from Ahmedabad to Ujjain so they can bring Manzoor home and perform his last rites according to family traditions.
People familiar with the family said Manzoor spent decades overseas working to support his loved ones and was finally returning home for a happy family occasion when tragedy struck unexpectedly.
For now, the family continues to wait for updates regarding the arrival of the mortal remains. In a house that was preparing for wedding celebrations, relatives are now preparing for a final goodbye instead.
