Recently, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the newly constructed unit of Aspire Pharmaceuticals located in Sector-05 of Raipur. Chief Minister Sai said that in view of the shortage of medicines during the difficult period of Covid, the dream of building this unit was seen and today it has come true. The Chief Minister of the state said that “The launch of the pharmaceuticals unit is an important step towards the industrial development of the state. Chhattisgarh's new industrial policy is attracting investors.

Due to this policy, an investment of about 6.75 lakh crore rupees has come in the last six months. In this, proposals of three lakh crore investment have been received in the power sector, out of which work has started on many projects. The state government is working to create maximum employment through industrial units and such units are also being given special incentives. The government has prepared a vision document under the concept of "Developed Chhattisgarh 2047". He said that at present the state's Gross State Product (GSDP) is ₹ 5 lakh crore, which has been targeted to reach ₹ 10 lakh crore by 2030 and ₹ 75 lakh crore by 2047. "

Inclusive development plan in Industrial Development Policy
The Industrial Development Policy has a provision to give additional incentives to Scheduled Castes/Tribes, women entrepreneurs, retired Agniveers, ex-servicemen, entrepreneurs from Naxal-affected areas and third gender enterprises. Provision of royalty reimbursement and subsidy has been made for tribal entrepreneurs. Apart from this, for the first time in this policy, provision of separate incentives has been made for MSMEs and large service enterprises of the service sector, which also includes the fields of engineering services, research and development, health, tourism and entertainment.

Forest produce processing units have also been included in the thrust sector in the new industry policy of Chhattisgarh state equipped with One Click Single Window System 2.0. Giving shape to the vision of Vocal for Local and Self-reliant India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government of Chhattisgarh is encouraging local entrepreneurs to produce quality products. In this context, starting the Forest to Pharmacy model for local processing of minor forest produce available in the forests of the state, the largest and modern central processing unit of Central India, built by the Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Federation, has been established at Jamgaon (M) in Durg district. Spread over 27.87 acres, this unit was recently inaugurated by the head of the state. With this unit producing and processing Ayurvedic medicinal products worth about Rs 50 crore every year, Chhattisgarh is going to emerge as a major center of herbal and Ayurvedic products in India. Special focus is being laid on the processing and value addition of forest produce of Chhattisgarh.
