Whatever is said in this ear of Nandi Maharaj reaches Mahadev, the wish is fulfilled
It is believed that by slowly saying your wish in the ear of Nandi Maharaj, the vehicle and supreme devotee of Lord Shiva, he conveys it directly to Mahadev. But the question arises – which ear? According to the Puranas and temple traditions, one should say his wish in the right (right) ear of Nandi Maharaj.
Devotees believe that Nandi Maharaj is always looking towards the Shivling in a meditative posture, and his consciousness is directly connected to Lord Shiva. In such a situation, when a devotee says his prayer in his right ear, Nandi immediately conveys it to Lord Shiva.
This tradition is especially prevalent in the temples of South India, such as Nandi Hills of Karnataka, Tiruvannamalai, Chidambaram and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Devotees go near the idol of Nandi and with their hands folded, slowly say their wishes in his ear.
Keep in mind, this is a matter of faith, not scientific logic. But faith has immense power. If a wish is expressed with faith, it is surely fulfilled. So the next time you go to a Shiva temple and have darshan of Nandi Maharaj, say your wish with devotion into his right ear. It is possible that your voice reaches Bholenath at that very moment.
