Say Cabinet's Major Decisions: B.Ed Teachers Adjusted, Rural Bus Scheme Launched

In a key meeting, the Say Cabinet approved the adjustment of B.Ed assistant teachers and announced the launch of the Chief Minister Rural Bus Facility Scheme, along with several other developmental decisions aimed at improving education and rural connectivity.

An important meeting of the Council of Ministers was concluded today under the chairmanship of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Say. This meeting was held at the Ministry i.e. Mahanadi Bhawan located in Atal Nagar Nava Raipur from 11:30 am today. This meeting concluded with discussions on many important topics, in which various proposals were approved.

The Council of Ministers has taken an important decision to start the "Mukhyamantri Gramin Bus Facility Scheme" to provide accessible transport service to the general public in the remote scheduled and rural areas of Chhattisgarh state where passenger transport facilities are less.

Under this scheme, permits and facilities will be provided to light/medium transport motor vehicles with 18 to 42 seating capacity (excluding driver). A committee will be formed at the state and district level for the determination of new rural routes. The local residents of Chhattisgarh state will get the benefit of the permit, in which priority will be given to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Women and Naxal-affected people. Beneficiaries will be selected through tender process. Under this scheme, the concerned vehicle owner will be given complete exemption in monthly tax for a maximum period of three years from the date of issuance of the first permit for operating vehicles on rural roads.

Under this scheme, the state government will provide special financial assistance of Rs 26 per kilometer in the first year, Rs 24 per kilometer in the second year and Rs 22 per kilometer in the third year to various categories of vehicles operated. Under this scheme, the blind, intellectually disabled, disabled people unable to walk on both legs, senior citizens of 80 years and above, persons suffering from AIDS will get complete exemption in fare along with an attendant, while Naxal-affected people will have to pay half the fare.

An important decision has been taken by the Council of Ministers towards strengthening the technical education of the state and promoting digital skills. Under which the proposal to allot 10.023 acres of land free of cost to National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) for the establishment of State of Art NIELIT in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar was approved.

The establishment of NIELIT Center in the state will bring revolutionary changes in the field of technical education, digital skill development and information technology in Chhattisgarh. This center will not only provide quality technical education to the youth, but will also provide them new employment opportunities. With this, Chhattisgarh will emerge as an important center in the map of technical education at the national level.

The Council of Ministers has taken a big decision in the interest of farmers cultivating on Regha, Batai, Lease and Duban area. Now the farmers of the said category will also get the benefit of the Krishak Unnati Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government. The Council of Ministers, while amending the guidelines of the "Krishi Unnati Yojana" in the meeting, has decided to provide its benefits to all such farmers of the state from whom paddy / paddy seeds have been procured in the Kharif season through the Cooperative Society and Chhattisgarh State Seed and Farmers Development Corporation Limited.

In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, taking an important decision in the interest of 2621 B.Ed. qualified Assistant Teachers whose services were terminated after appointment in Direct Recruitment 2023, it was decided to adjust them to the post of Assistant Teacher Science (Laboratory) as per the recommendation of the Inter-Departmental Committee. The School Education Department has been authorized for this.

As per the recommendation of the Inter-Departmental Committee, 2621 B.Ed qualified Assistant Teachers removed will be adjusted in 4,422 vacant posts of Assistant Teacher Science (Laboratory) in the state. Adjustment will be done on non-advertised posts. Assistant teachers who have passed 12th from Arts/Science stream will be allowed 3 years to complete the prescribed qualification (12th Maths/Science). Also these candidates will be given two months special training in laboratory work through SCERT. Non-statistical posts will be created for the remaining 355 candidates of other backward classes.

In the priority of districts for adjustment, adjustment will be done first in the vacant posts of scheduled area districts of the state, then in the vacant posts of border districts and then in other districts.
